When an estimate is defined, its revision level is set at 000. All insertions ordered at this level carry the same level. To track changes to the buy, you may use the Update Revision function on the Client Activity Report to change the revision level then run the Client Activity Report and use the Estimate Revision Update Report or the Estimate Definition window to check the revision level. Before changing a revision level, note:
You may not reverse the level once it is increased.
Buys deleted at the basic 000 Revision level do not appear on the Client Activity Report at subsequent revision levels. However, if you update the revision level prior to deleting activity, the deletions are documented on the report for next two revision levels.
If you key an Estimate Group or Select All Estimates on the Client Activity Report window and click the Update Revision icon, the revision level is incremented by one on all the requested estimates. However, the revision number does not print on the report when you request more than one estimate.
To track changes to an estimate:
Print a Client Activity Report after the initial buy is entered.
Increase the revision level on the estimate. See steps below.
Make changes to the buy, then request the Client Activity Report again for that buy.
To increase the revision level on an estimate:
Select Reports|Client Activity Report.
Key the codes to identify the buy(s) for which the revision level is being increased.
Click the Update Revision icon to increase the revision level and create the Estimate Revision Update Report. This report is sent to your default output queue with a status of Held. You must release the report for it to print.
