These are descriptions of the fields on the Start Up Tab. The fields that appear and whether they are required will depend on whether you are creating a new worksheet or opening an existing worksheet. If you are opening an existing worksheet, the fields and requirements will change depending on whether the existing worksheet contains proposed or active buys. the feilds will also change depending on whether you are working with television or radio buys.
New Worksheet: Select this option button if you want to create a new worksheet.
Existing Worksheet: Select this option button if you want to open and existing worksheet.
Company and Office: The Company and Office fields are automatically filled in based on the codes you entered when you logged in to MediaBank A|V. However, you can change the Company and Office codes if you have the authority to make buys for another company within your agency.
Campaign ID: If you have defined a Campaign ID for a product/estimate, you can use it as a shortcut on the Start Up tab. Just fill in the Campaign ID field and the Media, Client, Product, and Estimate fields will be filled in automatically.
Media: Required for an active or new worksheet.
Client: Required for an active worksheet.
Product/Split: Required for an active worksheet. Key the product or product split for the buy. Use the special product code (NA) for a pool buy.
Estimate: Required for an active worksheet. Key the estimate for the buy.
Daily and Weekly: These option buttons only appear when you select a New Worksheet. The button selected will depend on the setting defined in Estimate Definition and may not be changed here.
Weekly: Date headings on the Schedule Table section of the worksheet will be the Monday date of each possible week in the estimate flight dates.
Daily: Date headings on the Schedule Table section of the worksheet will be the date of each possible day in the estimate flight dates.
Flight Dates: Display only. For an existing worksheet, displays the flight dates retrieved from the estimate.
Market: For a new or proposed worksheet, key the market. For an active worksheet you may limit the buys that display by leaving this field blank and keying a station and band code in the following fields.
Station/BC: For active worksheets only, you may limit the buys that are retrieved to only those for a specific station. Leave the Market field blank and key the Station and Band Code. When you specify a station, you may only add and save buy lines for that station.
Worksheet Code: For a new worksheet this field is required and will be used to assign the worksheet a 1-12 character code. For an existing proposed worksheet, key the code of the worksheet to be retrieved.
Worksheet Description: For a new worksheet this field is required and will be used to assign a 1-29 character description for the worksheet. Keep in mind that the worksheet code lookup is displayed in alphabetical order by based on the Worksheet Description.
Rating Service: For a new worksheet only, select the appropriate rating service (Nielsen for television or Nielsen Audio for radio) from which to retrieve ratings for the buy. For radio buys the default is MSA (Metro Survey Area) but you may select TSA to retrieve ratings for the Total Survey Area instead. (TSAs are only surveyed in Spring and Fall).
Estimated Book: Optional. For a new worksheet, key an estimated book of up to five characters.
If Nielsen (for television) is selected, four rows appear under the Estimated Book, Share and PVT headings. You must key a Share book and at least one PVT book for a television buy, but you may key in several PVT books for each row.
If Nielsen Audio (for radio) is selected, one row appears under the Estimated Book and Actual Book headings. You must key at least one Actual Book for a radio buy
Share: For a new worksheet containing television buys, if you keyed an estimated book, key a Share book. For an existing worksheet, this field is display only.
PVT: For a new worksheet containing television buys, if you keyed an estimated book, key at least one PVT book. If you key multiple PVT books they will be averaged before ratings/impressions are calculated. For an existing worksheet, these fields are display only.
Actual Book: For a new worksheet containing radio buys, if you keyed an estimated book, key at least one Actual Book. If you key multiple Actual Books you can create a multi-book average. For an existing worksheet, these fields are display only.
Demo: For a new worksheet, if no estimate is keyed, use the Demo 1 through Demo 10 fields to assign demos for the worksheet. Demo 1 must be a rating or impression. Precede each demo with one of the following codes:
