Daypart/Group Definition

Use the Daypart/Group Definition option to define the daypart codes and groups of daypart codes used to enter buys and goals. All daypart codes are defined as members of a daypart group. Daypart codes appear on reports. You can define a standard daypart group that includes every daypart used at your agency. You can also define a group containing selective dayparts appropriate to specific demographics, such as Men 18-49 or Women 25-34, or for a specific client's needs.

The daypart group code is used when setting up buying profiles for clients and products. As such, Daypart Group codes must be defined before the company/office can be set up in Buying Unit Profile Definition and before client buying profiles can be set up in Buying Profile Definition.


To do so, select Database | Daypart/Group Definition.

Daypart/Group Definition Prompt Window

  1. Key or Lookup the Media.

  2. Key or Lookup an Daypart Group code.

  3. Click the Next icon to display the Detail window.
