If you want the system to automatically assign job numbers based upon a particular numbering system, key the numbers in the Next Available Job Number field. When you define a job, the assigned job number will be based on your numbering system keyed in this option.
In the Can Above be Changed field, select one of the following:
Select Yes if the division/product associated with the acronym can be changed in Job Definition. Note: If you use Job Request, any division/product codes will override division/product codes associated with the acronym used in Job Definition.
Select No if it is mandatory to use the division/product under which the acronym is created. Note: The division/product of the acronym will be used in Job Definition regardless of any division/product that may be used in Job Request.
Since your customers can have different requirements, we have given you control over the job number rule. The rule is automatically set to the default company rule so if you do not need to change your rule, always accept the default from the Length of Job Number drop-down list.
