The Order Flag column on the worksheet is used to control whether an insertion prints on a new insertion order or on the last or next revision of an existing order. If the insertion has already printed on an order, it cannot print on any other order number, but it may be printed on either the last or next revision of that order. You may not assign different order flags to insertions which have the same Insertion Order Number. However, you do not need to select the Order Flag for every insertion on the order; unchanged insertions on the same order will automatically print on revised orders even if you do not select an Order Flag for them.
Order Flag selections:
Blank. Do not print this insertion on an insertion order.
New Order. Use this flag for an insertion that was not yet printed on an insertion order form or one that was printed before your agency switched to Insertions with Revisions. Print this insertion on a new order with the next available order number and revision 00000. The Insertion Order Number column must be blank. All insertions for the same client/media/product/estimate/vendor that have a New Order flag will print on the same order. All insertions on the order will be flagged with a status of **NEW**.
Latest Revision. Use this flag to replace a never sent order after making changes and/or adding or deleting insertions. Print this insertion on the order selected in the Insertion Order Number column with the last used revision number. If the insertion previously printed on an order, that number displays in the Insertion Order Number column and may not be changed. The order includes all insertions that printed on it before, except insertions that were new on the last revision and were deleted. The order reflects all changes to the previously printed insertions and includes any additional insertions that have the same order number selected in the Insertion Order Number column. See Insertion Status for more information.
Next Revision. Use this flag to send a revised order to the vendor. Print this insertion on the order selected in the Insertion Order Number column with the next revision number. If the insertion previously printed on an order, that number displays in the Insertion Order Number column and may not be changed. The order includes all insertions that printed on it before, but it reflects all changes to those insertions and includes any additional insertions with the same order number selected in the Insertion Order Number column. See Insertion Status for more information.
