To import buys for a campaign:
Open the template spreadsheet and save it with a new name for this campaign.
Key the data in the spreadsheet filling in all required fields as explained in the rules for the Buy Import Spreadsheet Format.
Each buyline must be detailed in its own row and columns must be in the order shown on the spreadsheet template and described in the chart.
No extra blank characters are allowed in a field; no padding the field with extra spaces.
Clients, Products, Estimates, and vendors must already exist in the system.
You may import for multiple clients, products, media and estimates on the same spreadsheet. These will be handled appropriately in the Buy Module.
Remove any header rows and save the spreadsheet as an Excel spreadsheet. Worksheet must be saved as .XLS for Excel versions 97 – 2003, or as .XLSX for higher Excel versions.
Import the .XLS or the .XLSX file using Import Buys.
Note: All edits to an imported buy, including deleting a buyline, should occur in the Buy Module.
