These are descriptions of the Break By options on the Station Avails Quick Fill window. The same Break By selections are used to select ratings to display in Demographic Rating Display.
None: Create one avail row for the selected daypart, days and time range.
1/4 Hour: Create one avail for each quarter hour within the specified Start and End times.
Example: If you key daypart DAY, select days M, Tu, W, Th, F, 10A to 4P, and choose to break by the quarter hour, avails would be created for DAY, M-F, 10 to 10:15A and every quarter thereafter up to and including DAY, M-F, 3:45P to 4P.
1/2 Hour: Create one avail for each half hour within the specified Start and End times.
Example: If you key daypart DAY, select days M, Tu, W, Th, F, 10A to 4P, and choose to break by the half hour, avails would be created for DAY, M-F, 10 to 10:30A and every half hour thereafter up to and including DAY, M-F, 3:30P to 4P.
Hour: Create one avail for each hour within the specified Start and End times.
Example: If you key daypart DAY, select days M, Tu, W, Th, F, 10A to 4P, and choose to break by the hour, avails would be created for DAY, M-F, 10 to 11A and every hour thereafter up to and including DAY, M-F, 3P to 4P.
Day: Create one avail for each selected day for the specified Start and End times.
Example: If you key daypart DAY, select days M, Tu, W, Th, F, 10A to 4P, and choose to break by day, avails would be created for DAY, M, 10A to 4P and every other day of the week up to and including DAY, F, 10A to 4P.
Day - Hour: For each selected day, create avails for each hour within the specified Start and End times.
Example: If you key daypart PRI, select days M, Tu, W, Th, F, 8P to 10P, and choose to break by day and hour, avails will be created for PRI, M, 8P to 9P and for PRI, M, 9P to 10P. The same avails will also be created for the each of the other selected days, ending with Friday: PRI, F, 9P to 10P.
Day - 1/2 Hour: For each selected day, create avails for each half hour within the specified Start and End times.
Example: If you key daypart PRI, select days M, Tu, W, Th, F, 8P to 10P, and choose to break by day and half hour, avails will be created for PRI, M, 8P to 8:30P and for every half hour through PRI, M, 9:30P to 10P. The same avails will also be created for the each of the other selected days, ending with Friday: PRI, F, 9:30P to 10P.
