About Ad Hoc Inquiry

The Ad Hoc Inquiry option allows you to author your reports by using the Ad Hoc interface without having to leave the Broadcast application. The Ad Hoc Inquiry also allows you to easily filter data on selected criteria as well as apply conditional formatting. You may also export your data to a spreadsheet file or to a PDF file.

There are essentially two versions of the Ad Hoc Inquiry user interface: One for standard users and one for authorized users.

• Standard users can create, manipulate, and save report formats

• Authorized users can also create, manipulate, and save report formats. In addition, authorized users can create System or agency-wide report formats that all users can access.

When accessing Ad Hoc Inquiry, the process is a bit different for standard users and authorized users.

• Standard users go straight to the Ad Hoc Inquiry prompt window.

• Authorized users see the Ad Hoc Inquiry - Authorized window before they can access the prompt window.
