Billing Profile Definition Overview
Company, office, client, and product codes must have billing and buying
profiles to be used in Broadcast. The Billing Profile Definition option
establishes the normal billing and disbursing rules. (You'll use Buying
Profile Definition to define the buying profile.) Media and estimate profiles
are not required, but allow special tailoring of billing requirements
at the media and estimate levels if needed.
The definitions are hierarchical and require that the company and office
be defined before clients can be defined. Values set at higher levels
of the hierarchy become the defaults for lower levels; however, certain
fields can be changed at client, product, media and/or estimate levels.
Furthermore, when making changes the standard Hierarchical
Change Rule applies.
The interface for the Billing Profile Definition consists of a set of
tabs. The tabs are labeled the same for all levels but contain information
appropriate for the level that you have selected. In the area above the
tabs, you'll find information that will let you know what level you are
currently working with.
The Profile Options Chart summarizes
the settings which can be configured on the Billing Profile Definition
tabs and the levels at which they can be changed.
