If the tax amounts on the buy and affidavit do not match when you click <Match> on the Affidavit Detail window, the Tax Matching window displays. The ordered tax amount displays from the buy and the affidavit tax and matched tax amounts display for each affidavit that has been entered for the buy. The total tax amount for all affidavits for the station/month must match the total tax on the buy before any of the affidavits can be successfully matched.
To change the tax amount on this affidavit, click the Back icon to return to the Affidavit Detail window and key the correct tax amount. You may then click <Match> to repeat the matching process.
To change the tax amount on another affidavit, retrieve that affidavit after you finish the matching process on this affidavit. You may not change the tax amount on any affidavit from this window.
To change the tax amount entered on the buy, key the new amount in the Ordered Tax field, then click <Update> to update the buy. Click <Match> to continue the matching process.
To continue matching spots without matching the tax amount, click <Match>.
If all buy and affidavit spots match, but the tax amounts differ, the Unsuccessful Match window only displays the total number of spots and total cost. The affidavit is saved but has a status of "not matched." Once the correct tax amount is determined, retrieve the affidavit, correct the affidavit tax and/or ordered tax as noted above then complete the matching process.
Note: If you have multiple affidavits for a single buy and the combined tax for all the affidavits matches the buy tax amount, the last affidavit entered successfully matches. To match the rest of the affidavits for that buy, retrieve each of them and update.
