Office Acronym Maintenance

This option allows you to set up an office acronym which links to a specific office. This option may be used when an office deals with just one client and wants the same acronym used for all jobs opened by that office. The sequence number assigned by the system and attached to the acronym identifies these jobs in the system. These acronyms are optional, but it is helpful to these offices to save time and help eliminate keying errors when entering jobs.

Note: If you use office acronyms, you may not use job acronyms.

  1. Select Data Base|Maintenance|Office Acronym Maintenance.

Office Acronym Maintenance Prompt

  1. Key the Company/Office for which you are setting up an office acronym.

  2. Key the acronym you want assigned to this office then click the Next icon next.gif to display the Office Acronym Window.

  3. Key the numbering sequence you want used by the system when assigning job numbers. The system automatically assigns the next available job number you specified when opening new jobs. Leave this field blank if you do not wish to use this feature.

  4. Click the Save icon save.gif.
