Maintain 1099 Transmitters

This option allows your company to maintain 1099 Transmitters. The Transmitter Control Code (TCC) is the code assigned to the paying agent by the IRS. There is only one Transmitter Control record allowed per payer. For information about the specific fields, refer to the IRS publication, “Specifications for Filing Forms 1098, 1099, 5498 and W-2G Electronically or on Magnetic Media.”
  1. Select Financials|1099|Maintain 1099 Transmitters.

  1. Key or select the code assigned by the IRS to the transmitter in the Transmitter Code field.

  2. Click the Next icon to display the Maintain 1099 Transmitters Detail Window.

  1.  Key the name associated with the transmitter code in the Transmitter Name fields.

  2. Key a valid transmitter tax ID number in the Transmitter Tax ID field.

  3. Key the person or organization submitting electronic media file(s) in the Company Name fields. This may be the payer or agent of the payer.

  4. The Company Name, Company Address, Company City, Company State and Company Zip code are required if the payer and transmitter are not the same.

  5. Key the Contact Name and Phone/Ext number.

  6. To delete transmitter information, click the Delete icon. Note: You cannot delete transmitter information if it has already been assigned to a payer.

  7. When finished, click the Save icon.
