Search Feature

The Search feature enables you to search for information when you do not know a code.

  1. Click the Search icon search.gif to display the first page of codes.

  2. For searches where you are allowed to select only one item, 10 item display per window. In this case, you click the Next icon next.gif to display the next window displaying 10 more items.

  3. For some searches where you are allowed to select multiple items, 99 items display and a scroll bar is used for locating applicable selections.

  4. In either case, to narrow your search, key the first character or number of the code in the field to search and click the Search icon. To narrow the search further, key several characters or numbers. Some search windows contain Quick Entry fields. If you know the codes you want to include, key these codes in the Quick Entry fields.

  5. Click in the field(s) located to the left of your code then click <Done> or in some cases, click <Submit>.

Vendor Lookups

To include inactive as well a active vendors in the lookup, select Yes from the Include Inactive drop-down list; otherwise, accept the default of No to only show active vendors. If Yes is selected, both active and inactive vendors may be keyed in the Quick Entry fields. If No is selected, only active vendors may be keyed in Quick Entry fields. The Status column helps you identify both active and inactive vendors.
