Mechanical Specs Report

This Mechanical Specifications Report enables you to inform the Production House of all the Mechanical sizes that need to be produced for a single ad number. The report sorts through all the publications for which you have scheduled the ad number, and retrieves the detailed mechanicals for just those publications.

This report uses the dynamic report generator that creates a custom report from the Prompt window selections:

The steps to request this report are minimal:

1. Select Traffic|Mechanical Specs Report.

2. Specify an Activity Date Range.

3. You may request for Statuses:  All, Active only or Suspended only.

4. If you choose not to break the report by Market, the market does not display on the report.

5. You may further filter the report by specifying other selections. At minimum, choose one or more ad numbers.

6. Click the Next icon to display the output selections.

7. Accept or indicate changes to these report outputs, including Number of Copies, Output queue, whether to Hold or Save these files, or whether to output to the Web Browser or Output as a PDF.

Mechanical Specs Report

The mechanical sizes that print on the report are either the Space Description code, if no mechanicals were defined for a publication; or the actual mechanicals that were entered.

When calculating the mechanicals from a space description, this report uses the conversion factors in Print. That is, if the Vendor file holds the conversion for a column width to inches (or to centimeters), then the calculations can be done.

You may  display the report in your browser, e-mail the PDF of this report to the vendor, or print pages to mail, or save or hold the report on the AdVault server.
