Looking Up Codes

Use the Search feature to look up codes for any field that displays the Search icon search.gif.

Original Lookup instructions:

  1. Leave the field(s) blank to display all codes or key beginning letters or numbers to limit the search.

  2. Click the Search icon next to the field.

  3. The Search window displays the codes alphabetically by description, in batches.

  4. Click the Next icon next.gif to display the next batch of codes, if any. Click the Back icon back.gif to return to the previous batch.

  5. To limit the list that displays, use the secondary search text boxes and Search icons inside the Search window. Key the beginning letters/numbers for the code or description, then click the Search icon.

  6. To retrieve a code, click the radio button located beside the code then click <Done>.

Enhanced Lookup instructions:

  1. Leave the field(s) blank to display all codes or key beginning letters or numbers to limit the search.

  2. Click the Search icon next to the field.

  3. The Search window displays only active codes in code order. The codes display in batches.

  4. Click the Next icon next.gif to display the next batch of codes, if any. Click the Back icon back.gif to return to the previous batch.

  5. To limit the list that displays, use the secondary search text boxes and Search icons inside the Search window. Key the beginning letters/numbers for the code or description, then click the Search icon.

  6. For codes with statuses: To limit the display to only Suspended codes or to display Both suspended and active codes, select one of these options from the Status drop down list and click the Search icon in the Search window to redisplay the codes.

  7. To control the order of the display, select one of the options from the Sort By drop down list and click the Search icon in the Search window.

  8. To retrieve a code, click the radio button located beside the code then click <Done>.

Note: In some cases, such as when looking up an estimate code, the codes listed in the Search window are limited based on other codes already keyed on the prompt window.
