Makegood Create New Audience/Split Rating

If the makegood transaction is for one missed unit and one makegood unit, the estimated audience figures for the missed unit are copied to the makegood unit. No new audience is created for one makegood.

For multiple makegoods if Create New Audience is checked, when you add a makegood, the estimated audience figures are calculated from the universe, the rating, and either the VPVH or Impressions assigned in the Program Profile; and the Nielsen HUTs that are loaded on the system.

If a makegood involves multiple missed and/or multiple makegood units, the Split Rating setting controls how the ratings are applied to the makegood units.

Hover Help for the Split Audience field displays the formulas used.

Split Rating

With the Create New Audience field unchecked, audience figures for the missed unit are copied to the makegood unit. But, if the makegood has a demo that the missed unit does not have, the impressions for that new demo on the missed unit is calculated, and these rules apply the rating to the makegood(s).

Checked   Network divides the total GRPs for the missed units by the number of makegood  units with the same demo to obtain prorated GRPs. Network then assigns each makegood unit, except the last one, the prorated GRPs. The last makegood Unit, is assigned the total GRPs.

Unchecked   Network divides the total GRPs for the missed units by the number of missed units to obtain prorated GRPs to be applied to each makegood.
