Data Layout

The controls on the Data Layout tab in Ad Hoc Inquiry allow you to customize the appearance of the data on the View tab and ultimately on your report.

Although all users may manipulate and save their report formats, only users with authoring authority may create "System" or agency-wide report formats. To create System report formats, click Save as System after you have chosen and applied your report formatting criteria.

Creating a Data Layout

Applying the Data Layout

  1. Click the Apply button.

  2. Return to the View tab to see the results.

Clearing the Data Layout

  1. Click the Clear All button.

Saving the Data Layout

  1. Type a name for your Data Layout in the text box in the Formats section.

  2. If you have applied filters on the Filters tab and want to save them along with your Data Layout, select the Persist Filters check box.

  3. Click the Save button.

Loading a saved Data Layout

  1. Select the Data Layout name from the drop down in the Formats section.

  2. Click the Reload button.

  3. Click the Apply button.

  4. Return to the View tab to see the results.

Deleting a saved Data Layout

  1. Select the Data Layout name from the drop down in the Formats section.

  2. Click the Delete button.
