Market Group Definition

The Market Group Definition option defines market group schemes.  These are hierarchies of up to five agency-defined levels that enable report grouping, subtotaling, and totaling by level.

To define an Market Group:

Select Database|Market Group Definition.

  1. Key Media, and Market Group Scheme.  You can also copy the Media and Market Group Scheme from another pre-defined market group.  

  2. Click the Next icon next.gif

  3. Key a description or title for the Scheme for your Market Group.

  4. Click the Maintain Assignments icon maintain_assgt..bmp

  5. Select from the Available Markets list and click the Assign icon assign_icon.bmp. Click Apply and then click Close.

  6. To create a new level or subgroup, click the Insert New Level icon insert_new_level.bmp . Click the Maintain List icon maintain_list.bmp and assign subgroup title(s). Click Apply.

  7. To assign markets to the new level, click the Maintain Assignments icon maintain_assgt..bmp

  8. If you have multiple levels, use the dropdown at the top of the window to select the level you intend to assign market(s) to.  Available markets which have not already been assigned will be shaded yellow. Select from the list and click the Assign icon assign_icon.bmp. Click Apply and then click Close.

  9. To subtotal bills at any level below the select the subtotal checkbox.  To designate the level at which to issue bills, select the Issue checkbox.

  10. Click the Save icon save.gif
