Market Definition

Use this option to define the markets you will use in BROADCAST by assigning your own agency market codes to survey markets.

Note: Before you begin defining markets, survey classes must be defined in Rating Survey Posting Definition. In addition, rating service information for your agency's authorized markets must be available on the system.

To define a market:

  1. Select Database|Market Definition.

  2. Key the Media code for the market being defined, then key a Market code to be defined.

  3. Click the Next icon next.gif to display the Market Definition detail page.

  4. Click the add.gif icon to add a new Market Definition row.  Key the correct Rating Service, Service ID, Class Number and Survey/Ethnic Type.  Click the <Fields> button at the bottom of this help page for more information on each field.

  5. Click the Save icon save.gif to save the definition and return to the previous page.

If you have assigned stations to the market, they must be unassigned before you can delete the market.
