Default rows and codes that appear on a timesheet may originate in several ways.
Default rows:
You may define default rows for timesheets using the Default Row Setup.
You may opt to have default rows automatically created for timesheets by entering a Number of days for self maintaining default rows in Preferences. These rows will continue to display on your timesheet as long as you have entered time on the row within the number of days set in Preferences.
If the Interface job tasks from Workflow option is selected in System Setup, a new row appears on your timesheet for the appropriate job when a job task is assigned to you in Workflow. This may include a Job Component, if assigned. These rows will continue to display on the timesheet until the task is marked complete.
The Blocked Dates option in Workflow may be used to create timesheet rows in AdClock with the transaction code and hours already entered for all employees in the company (Exception: Blocked Dates will not default into rows fo Part Time and Freelance employees.).
A timesheet template by personnel department can be created using the "AdClock Template by Department" option located in the Central Data Base. This option is only used if employees are not using the Default Row Setup function in AdClock. If the default row setup is not used, then row(s) you set up in this option in the Central Data Base will default into AdClock for employees belonging to the specified department.
Default Tran codes:
If you leave the Tran code blank on a row and save the timesheet, a Tran code is automatically retrieved for the row if a default has been defined. The first default that can be found is retrieved, searching in this order:
Default Tran code defined for the client in Client Profile Definition in Production.
Default Tran code defined for the employee in Employee Profile Maintenance in the Central Data Base.
Default Tran code defined in Standards and Defaults for the company/office.
If no default is found, an error displays and you must key a Tran code.
Default Work codes:
If you leave the Work code blank on a row and save the timesheet, a Work code is automatically retrieved for the row if a default has been defined. The first default that can be found is retrieved, searching in this order:
Default Work code defined for the employee in Employee Profile Maintenance in Central Data Base.
If the Job Type for the job only has only one Work code defined for the Tran code on the row, that Work code is retrieved. (Job Types are defined in the Production Billing Profile)
If no default is found, an error displays and you must key a Work code.
Job Components
The list of Job Components that may be entered for a specific job on the timesheet is limited to the job components defined for the Job in Job Definition in Production. A Job Component may be included on a row that is automatically created when a job task is assigned to you in Workflow.
